Hi everyone! My name is Joanna Logan and I am preparing to serve on my first missions trip to Lagos, Nigeria! I am a servant of God first and foremost and my life mission is to serve those who are in need around me. I currently teach underserved children in Brooklyn, NY and now, God has sent me to teach and serve to those abroad! Please help get me to Nigeria by giving $10 or more (or whatever you can) and I pray that God would richly bless you!
The first $1500 from your donations will go directly towards the production of fundraiser events and my personal travel expenses to Nigeria including flight, visa, vaccinations, transportation, food and lodging.
The remaining $500 I will use to personally buy educational supplies to support the Dream Catchers of The Dream Nurture Foundation based in Lagos, Nigeria. Dream Catchers is an organization designed to take kids of the street and use dance and other creative means to enroll them in school and keep them off the street!
I will be going on a Health & Education Missions trip alongside the Relume Foundation in August 2018. Donations can be made directly to the foundation at https://give.classy.org/nigeriamissions18. My primary responsibilities will be to teach vocational Bible school to the village children as well as supervise volunteers and help sort out medication for the village residents.
I leave for Lagos, Nigeria on August 21st and I return on September 1st. I have started this month campaign to offset the expenses associated with doing missions. I want my first missions trip to be a blessing where I can help those in need and not have a financial burden in order to do so. Your support would allow me to live out my God-given purpose outside of my home country, which is to serve through teaching, encouraging and praying on behalf of others. I would be so grateful for your giving and I pray that God would richly bless for supporting HIS work!
