Unfortunately Angie Wright was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer 3 years ago. She then underwent surgery to remove 6 inches of her bowel and the tumor. This was followed by aggressive chemotherapy and she has since been on maintenance chemotherapy treatment without a break for the past 3 years. This has been accompanied by all of the dreadful side effects associated with treatment.
Recently she has received an abnormal blood test result which called for an early scan.
This showed that it has now spread to her liver, lymph nodes in her stomach and her lungs. She has started a new chemotherapy treatment that will now be ongoing indefinitely. Anyone who knows Angie knows that she is very generous and definitely not one to ask for anything, and so we thought it was time we returned the favour.
As most people would know with any form of cancer treatment, there is unavoidable costs that continue to mount up. Not to mention that Angie has been physically unable to work since being diagnosed 3 years ago, so of course this has placed added pressure on an already stressful situation.
We are raising funds to help assist with ongoing medical costs and to give Angie some breathing space to deal with this insidious disease. With all of this being said any amount that you can donate will be received with so much gratitude and love. No amount is too small and every little bit adds up to make a huge difference in the life of Angie.
