Johnson's After surgery Fund

Hi Everyone,

My name is Johnson, and I am a Husky/Shepherd rescue boy. I am from way up north in a place called Attawapiskatt.  I was living way up there untiI I was rescued by a wonderful volunteer from Moosonee Puppy Rescue, and sent down to Bracebridge Ontario where Moosonee Puppy rescue is located.
You see, I was two years old when a log rolled off of a truck, and hit my hind left leg, which broke badly in two places. Unfortunately for me and many others like me, there is no veterinary care of any kind up in Attawapiskatt, so I had to heal and survive on my own without any help or care at all. That was a very hard time for me. But like many of us, we are strong and determined to survive no matter what happens.
So after being rescued and sent down to Moosonee Puppy Rescue (the bestest place ever!!), I was taken to a veterinarian, where I was completely checked over, and had X Rays taken, and my hind left leg manipulated (Ouchie!!). They didn't at that time think I needed any surgery for my bad leg, so I got the ok to be adopted out.
I am a happy boy, as my new family, Momma, Pappa, Grandma,  Auntie and my fur siblings all love and spoil me rotten...  :)
So on to the next part of my journey. My hind left leg has no muscle mass, and is extremely painful, and my good hind right leg has a bit of arthritis in it(due to taking the brunt of my bad legs weight). I have been receiving massages, energy work and natural supplemts for all of this, and my new Momma took me in to get checked again. This consisted of X Rays, leg maipulation and seeing a specialist. It has been determined, that Iam having my leg amputated, as it is causing to much pain, and seeing as my good legs are taking all of the weight anyways, it will get rid of the pain, and discomfort, as well as giving me a great life where I can run and play and have fun with my whole family, fur siblings included...  Woof!!    :)
I am so happy that I have found a wonderful family who loves, cares for and spoils me rotten with all the good things I have always deserved. Oh I forgot to emntion that I have to take two kinds of medications for my pain and phantom pain for during and after my surgery. (It helps, but my Momma and I prefer the natural supplements that are healthy, and dont harm my insides).
So that is my story for now, as my surgery is coming up.
If you can find it in your hearts to donate even just a little, it will go a long way to help my Momma and family with my surgery and hospital stay costs, as they are pawsitively expensive. ($3000.00 for surgery, & $2000.00 plus for my hospital stay).





They are doing all they can to help me and I love them soooo much... Woof! Woof!!  Oh I am so excited to start my new life with good health and no more extreme pain...
