John’s Double Lung Transplant
Donation protected
In the summer of 2017 my dad, John, was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Pulmonary Fibrosis is a respiratory disease in which scars are formed in the lung tissues, leading to serious breathing problems, and ultimately death.
My dad developed this disease by inhaling chemicals while touring in Saudi Arabia while enlisted in the US Army. Over the course of the year my dad’s health has decreased significantly and he is in need of a double lung transplant.
At 49 years old, our once healthy and active father now lives on 6 liters of oxygen and has only 15% lung function.
On June 17th, my dad is being medically flown to Seattle from New York and could be there for up to 6 months. My sister, brother, and I will each be taking turns to be with him out in Seattle. Any donation would be greatly appreciated as our family cannot do this alone. Thank you.
