John Goodwin's 'INVISIBLE VISIBLE'

Hello and WELCOME to the place where you too can become a supporter of the 'INVISIBLE VISIBLE' artist  that is ...John Goodwin. We are a group of friends and supporters of ALL things John Goodwin and we'd love for you to join our team! This fund is being set up to help launch an art exhibit of all of Goodwin's latest works. The opening date of the exhibit is set for September 12, 2016,  and 100% of the money raised will go towards the opening night party.  WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are asking for $3,000 to cover the cost of the launch party as well as as any additional costs incurred by Goodwin to mount various pieces on display.  Opening night will include an open bar as well as light hors d'oeuvres, and your donation will help to ensure that the evening is a fun filled night full of art, stories, good food, good friends, and good wine!
You will be able to purchase Goodwin's original artwork as well as meet the artist himself!

John Goodwin is a multifaceted, Grammy award winning songwriter , who has experienced success in music as well as the visual arts. Here is a little bit more about the artist in his own words...

"I was born in a manger in Fresno. No, that’s not true, but I was born in Haight Ashbury, San Francisco on mother’s day, 18 years before the ’summer of love'. I spent most of my life in Los Angeles and Nashville, where I’ve spent the past 18 years. I’ve been an artist for all of my adult life, though sometimes it seems strange to use the words ‘adult’ and ‘artist’ together. Most of my time is spent writing songs but when I’m not writing songs, I paint, do ceramics, mosaics, mobiles, crocheted sweaters and a lot of other visual art forms. As a songwriter, I’ve had my songs recorded by wonderful recording artists like Michael McDonald, Judy Collins, Craig Morgan, Brad Paisley, Jeff Bridges, Amy Holland, Chris Cagle, Jason Reeves, Sebastian Bach, Mark Slaughter, Winger, Kim Carnes and many other amazing singers. I got a Grammy for writing a song in the Crazy Heart movie but I didn’t know it had won the Grammy until two years after it did. Making visual art has become a guilty pleasure - an escape from writing songs. Sometimes, I feel like I’m ‘cheating’ on music when I get lost in a painting. My work seems to give me and a lot of other people pleasure, which is the main motivation to keep doing it. A lot of working people have artists as heroes but for me, the blue collar, working people are my heroes. At this time in my life, all my time, energy and work is aimed at paying all those people back for all they’ve given me."

We are so excited to see all of the new works by John Goodwin and we would like to be able to share this with as many people as possible, so PLEASE donate and invite your friends to donate as well! Goodwin is a true artist in every sense of the word and we'd  LOVE to see Nashville keep the spirit of creativity alive and thriving! Any support that you can give will be so much appreciated and even if you aren't able to attend the event, we will make sure to post pictures and video to share the experience with you!
