John McNulty Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected

Update: We are heartbroken to share that John lost his battle with leukemia on June 19, 2019. John will always be remembered by all as "the smile in the room." He was an Angel sent from Heaven whose mission is complete. Any further donations to this campaign will be applied to educational funds and future needs for Shannon. Thank you for all your prayers and support you have shown in the past and into the future.

Our wonderful Son, Brother, Partner, Friend, Chester Volunteer Firefighter, Navy Veteran, and most importantly -Father of Shannon, a 2nd grader at Ironia Elementary School - NEEDS OUR HELP!
John  at only 31 years young has spent most of his life mentoring, coaching and volunteering throughout his communities of Randolph, Chester, Mendham and Our Country.  He enjoys spending his free time volunteering at community events  through the Fire Department.
In the fall you will most likely find John with Shannon and Jane, at the family farm in Randolph giving hay rides for weekend pumpkin picking and school field trips.
Unfortunately, this was cut short -  In October of 2018 when John experienced a "Flu-like Illness" that was quickly diagnosed as: M-St. 4, Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). John underwent a 3 week induction of chemotherapy at MMC, which sent him into an early remission. The search began for a bone marrow transplant donor;  a sibling was a 100% match. John's bone marrow transplant was scheduled for  February 15th, but was postponed due to an unexpected discovery of a second cancer - Leukemia Cutis; which is the infiltration of neoplastic leukocytes into the skin, resulting in a manifestation of  cutaneous lesions, with no known cure.
John underwent a 2nd chemo regimen at Hackensack Medical Center (HMC) to try to kill the Leukemia Cutis, which has been unsuccessful.  After extensive consultations with Oncology Specialists throughout the East Coast it was recommended to go forward with the bone marrow transplant for the AML.
Currently John is in HMC undergoing a fight for his life with 5 days of intensive full-body radiation, and 2 days of chemo therapy, with the bone marrow transplant on March 26th, 2019.
After his body's acceptance of his brother's bone marrow, John will have a long up-hill battle , and continue to fight the Leukemia Cutis - which the  transplant will not cure.
In the past 5 months, John has spent more time in the hospital than at home. He has been unable to work and had to withdraw from college, where he was working towards a bachelor's degree  in cyber security.  This has been an extremely difficult time for John  and his family, especially for his daughter Shannon, who is not allowed to visit during his extensive hospital stays.
When John returns home in April he will be faced with mounting financial burdens  and will be seeking alternative cancer treatment due to no known medical cure for Leukemia Cutis. If you are able to donate to his cause financially, please know that any amount will be greatly appreciated from the heart.
Please continue to help John and his family through your Prayers and words of Healing, Strength, and Encouragement.
