John Marrs III Legacy Fund

In a tragic and sudden accident, John Marrs III passed away on the afternoon of December 1, 2016.  Leaving behind is loving mother & father, family members and a plethora of friends among the students and faculty of Metropolitan Community College Blue River, the campus and community are mourning deeply for the loss of this kind young man who never failed to smile which in turn caused many others to smile and laugh with him. John did so much and was meanigful to the people he was surrounded by. There isn't a person around who could tell you a mean thing about him because he didn't have a mean bone in his body.

This is where this fund comes in:  At the MCC Blue River campus, we would like to commemorate the memory of this gentleman by getting a memorial bench put on our campus to honor his legacy and life. The cost of the memorial bench will be approximately $500-600 to install and will also be accomidated by a plaque with his face and name.
The rest of the funds raised will be donated to the Marrs family and his parents to assist them in this difficult time. Any donations and funds raised will strictly be for the bench and Marrs family members. Any little bit helps and is much appreciated by our community.
