John King's Boy Scout Projects

Donation protected
My name is John King and I am 13 years old, and am actively pursuing my dream of becoming an Eagle Scout.  The last step in becoming an Eagle Scout is my Eagle Scout Project.  My project is constructing nesting boxes for wood ducks, a threatened duck species in my area.  With building these boxes comes the cost of wood and numerous tools, which amounts to be a huge expense.

I will also be using this money to fund part of my 2017 National Scout Jamboree trip to the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia.  Part of the expense of the trip is going to Washington D.C. on an educational tour on our nation's history.  While at the Jamboree, I will have the opportunity to meet a lot of people from many different cultures and trade boy scout patches with them.  I will get to participate in numerous fun activities including scuba diving, whitewater rafting, ziplining, mountain biking, and so many others.

I greatly appreciate any support I can get to help fund these events.

My Eagle Scout project and the Jamboree are so very important to me.

Thank you for considering my request.

All the best,
John
