Global Autism Project - Indonesia
Donation protected
I started fundraising for the Global Autism Project about two years ago, when my goal was to get to Kenya. Due to a family death, I was unable to make the trip to Africa but the Global Autism Project was kind enough to allow me to allocate the funds raised to travel to Indonesia to accomplish the same mission!
This summer, I will join SkillCorps on a 2 week journey to bring the science of Applied Behavior Analysis to Jakarta, Indonesia. Those of you who work with me know how much I value and truly enjoy staff and parent training! While the most rewarding of my experiences has been my 1:1 interactions with my students with autism, I know that the people they come in contact with every single day are the ones that require the most support. As a result, I take pride the effectiveness of behavior skills training and am looking forward to disseminating research, providing training, and facilitating the planning of the future of the 12 students with autism who are enrolled in Rumah Tiara Center.
While the minimum amount of funds was raised for the trip, I am hoping to raise an extra $1500 to help pay for the flight to Indonesia, as that was not included in the original fundraiser. Please share this on your page and via email with anyone who might be willing to support this cause.
