Jogging for Jarvis 2017
Donation protected
Jarvis is a 5 year old boy who has been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP). Essentially, FOP causes muscles, ligaments and tendons to turn to bone and patients cannot be operated on as it will generate new bone growth. It is a very rare disease, and so far, has no cure. He cannot turn his neck or lift his arms above his head. He can’t bend down to pick something up and has trouble rolling over in bed. Despite his limited movement he is a very happy and active kid who seems to have just accepted what is happening to his body. He loves music, especially U2, and is a crazy bongo drummer!
We need your support to create awareness and raise much needed funds to help Jarvis and his family through this challenging time.
