Joe Palermo Cancer Fund

I am part of the Houston musician community reaching out to help our dear friend Joe Palermo in his battle with prostate cancer.  He is currently in stage 4 prostate cancer and has started treatments of hormone therapy. He has numbing in his legs/feet which makes it difficult to walk.... Praying for the treatments to start giving him relief of pain, numbness and for the cancer to leave his body. Help big or small friends! He needs this time to let his body heal. Joe is a loving father of 4 awesome children, husband, grandfather, and as always such a hard worker for them all. Money donated will go to help him cover the medical bills stacking up, allow him an opportunity to work less and allow his body the health it needs right now, and provide for his family. Recently felt like my work, and constant gigging were catching up with me, and needed to slow down.
Started with flu-like aches and fever...
Being stubborn and male, I finally went in to see a real Doctor...
That's when everything made sense. After exams and blood PSA of 95, red flags went up. Biopsy and scans showed prostate cancer.
SO....
I am currently being treated for stage IV prostate cancer. It has spread along my spine and some joints.
After researching options, and two doctors, we agreed on Lupron injections, and taking Casodex.
No chemo or radiation for this method of treatment.

I'm about three weeks into treatment.
The side effects are a small step to recovery.
One of which is numbness in legs/feet that have me doing the drunk walk!Ohhhhhhh and the hot Flashes!!
Every man should experience this, for so many women...
I can say.....sorry!!
Not one to slow down, my body decided to!!
Looking forward to getting past this initial phase, and into recovery.
