In April, I suffered from a major bacterial infection that developed into a large abscess on my backside and upper thigh. After being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and put on antibiotics, I was discharged, but the wound proceeded to ulcerate, and required surgery to remove the bad tissue. 

I was left with a painful wound that prevents me from sitting upright for any extended period of time. This, in turn, has kept me from much of the design work that I rely on to pay an ever-growing pile of medical bills, medication fees, and copays that my insurance does not cover.
