Joe & Cheryl's Fire Relief

As some of you know, the fires in Southern California have been leaving devastation in their wake through Ventura and LA County. Hundreds of homes have been burned to the ground, including the home of my grandparents, Joe and Cheryl Amestoy in Upper Ojai.
There are no words to express this loss, decades of their lives' work, memories, and treasures are gone forever. Their home itself was a treasure, it was over 100 years old and was the orginial schoolhouse of the area before being converted to their residence so it means a great deal. My grandfather is an architect and my grandmother is an interior designer, so you can imagine how hard they worked together to make their home their biggest masterpiece. If any of you have had the pleasure of attending their gorgeous home, you can understand the ocean of emotions we are feeling at this time.


Luckily, we are so blessed that they themselves were evacuated physically unharmed in time. But, now they must face difficult days ahead, having only the clothes they had on their backs. 
In the immediate, they are going to need some clothes, to stay in hotels before starting over with no house, furniture, eyeglasses, no dishes or kitchenware, no bed or bedding, let no alone clothes, shoes, towels, undergarments, socks, etc...
My grandfather also suffers from sleep apnea, meaning he has trouble breathing in his sleep without the help from a CPAP machine, which was destroyed in the fire.


What my family and I are asking today is for any amount of donation you can possibly give because every dollar counts. Your help will truly make a difference in aiding their recovery in this shocking and heartbreaking time. Any funds will go directly to my grandparents to ease the financial burden and stress they are about to face, which will allow them to focus on healing and moving forward.
