I am Watson Rice, a Life Scout currently working toward Eagle in Boy Scout Troop 532 in Helena, AL, which is a boy led troop utilizing the Patrol Method, the Scout Law and Oath, and leadership development.
An Eagle Scout Project, is the opportunity for a Boy Scout, in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of his community.
Considering how the Joe Tucker Park could improve public health and human services in the area, my Eagle Project Plan is to provide health and wellness workout stations along the walking trail.
I am raising funds for the Fit-Trail® systems which are self-guided and self-paced exercise stations that comfortably accommodate one person or groups of people.
My goal is for the Joe Tucker Park walking trail to utilize scientifically designed exercises with walking or jogging to provide a well-balanced physical fitness routine for the entire body.
Ten individual exercise stations spaced along the walking/jogging trail where the participant proceeds from one exercise station to the next and performs the tasks illustrated at each site.
These systems are designed for users of all ages and fitness levels. Of course, if individual users are unable to perform any of the exercises, they can simply pass them and go on to the next exercise station.
$10,000 is required to fund my Eagle Scout Joe Tucker Heath & Wellness Trail Project. 100% of those funds will be used to purchase the Trail Fit system and building materials needed to provide areas to perform each workout station.
