Joaquin's Opportunity of A Lifetime

Joaquin has been playing soccer since he was a little boy.  He takes advantage of any opportunity to play soccer and develop his skills.  Based on his strong performances with the US Club Soccer's PDP, Joaquin has been selected to be a member of the NYCSL Select Squad and has received an invitation to attend a two-week residential training camp in England this summer.  Only a very select group of boys were chosen for this amazing developmental experience.  It is quite an honor!  Joaquin will have the best possible developmental opportunity by competing at an international level to greatly accelerate his own development.  This experience could be life altering.

The only obstacle holding Joaquin back from this amazing experience is funding.  An opportunity like this is very expensive.  The family is responsibe for all expenses related to the trip such as accommodations, food, airline tickets, transfers to and from the training camp, etc.  Christine, ("Crisco" for all the Fairfield University alumni) Joaquin's mother, is a single mother of three and one of the hardest working people I know.  Christine has had to turn down other soccer opportunities for Joaquin in the past because of financial stress.  She has always prided herself on doing everything on her own.  She is never one to ask for help for anything.  She has been such a role model for her children.
