Send JM students to DECA Nationals

During the first weekend of March our 2017-2018 DECA team made James Monroe High School history at the State Competition by qualifying 22 students, more than tripling the 2016-17 number, for the ICDC or International competition in Atlanta in April. With this accomplishment we sadly have a great deal of costs to be associated with this trip. The total cost of every students travel tickets, meals, registration fees, and hotel stay with be around $12,000. As happy as we are to have so many students qualify for this competition we are unprepared financially to help our students and their families to make this cost more reasonable. We are asking for your assistance to ensure that financial problems are not a barrier for our students to compete in this contest. Our students that have put countless hours of preparation and have made this tremendous accomplishment that we have the honor of bringing with us on this trip are Makayla Swain, Jessica Conway, Nellie Brady, Caleb Baer, Declan Zelazny, William Dyer, Lauren Shelton, Kayla White, Christopher Hall, Lila Cobey, Morgan Rigual, Marshall Wood, Tyler Whitman, Claire Brady, Winny Hall, Lizzie Hamlett, Chip Mauer, Mia McGill, Rian Blakesley, Gina Elkin, Sara Moreno, and Caroline Wack.
