Abandoned Dog Emergency Surgery
$7,177 of $7,000 goal
I I brought him to LVS where they gave him morphine, antibiotics, and anti inflammatories. He is awaiting surgery but it's going to cost a fortune.
This is little guy needs your help!
He is less than a year old, approximately 20 lbs, tan terrier mix that I've been calling Nerak.
He has met my cats, my dogs, and several people and been incredibally sweet and friendly.
Even though his jaw is broken and causing him pain he insists on being affectionate and giving me (and everyone else) kisses and nibbles- he is such a lover that this is more important to him than the pain!
Its hard to get a good photo but this injury is truly horrific. His jaw literally flaps just from the force of him panting. Please, if you can't donate, share this! Every little thing helps.
Please visit their site, http://100plusabandoneddogsofevergladesflorida.org , if you are interested in adding a new member to your family or if you're interested in continuing to contribute to the organization directly. Even if you can't continue to contribute financially, help is always needed caring for the dogs and bringing them out to help them find homes! Nerak was very lucky I was there to see and tell his story, but don't forget about the many other dogs whose stories we don't know but are still tragically waiting for their furever home.
Again, thank you, everyone and I will post more when I get Neruk home tomorrow.

Thank you so much for all you're doing for Nerak, Joshua... you're the best!
How do I go about trying to adopt this little guy?
Glad I could help!!! Does this little guy need a home?
Glad to hear Nerak is doing well. I have a little one that looks just like him. Wish I could show you his pic. They look like twins. So glad your little one is recovering!! Hope Nerak gets a nice home.
He looks wonderful. Thank you again for being so caring! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the updates Joshua, you are Nerak's angel. It warms my heart to see how so many have come together to help him. My prayer is that he has a healthy speedy recovery and find a forever home where he knows unconditional love for the rest of his life. What is that white stuff on the bottom of his mouth, is it like a dental wax?
Yes, Ver, he was able to get the surgery already! Check the updates section above for details on his progress.
There has been plenty of money donated, has the surgery occurred yet? It must be incredibly difficult for him to drink and eat, etc. Please keep us posted XOX
Joshua you are awesome! Thank you for your kind heart!
Thank you for keeping us up to date with comments and pictures, Joshua. I look forward each day to hear what you have to say. I volunteer at a no-kill animal shelter in my town and have 3 adopted rescued dogs. Nerak looks like a terrific dog with a will to live.. and, you are such a wonderful person to have rescued him. I'm glad we are all helping financially to help him get better.
I'm so happy that he is being well taken care of and doing well. I have tears of joy and sorrow at the same time. I wish for this sweet angel a full speedy recovery and a life fill with love and care!
So happy to hear the surgery went well! Thank you for being this dog's angel.
Omg so glad to hear that! That's great news! Wish I could hug him from AZ
You will be blessed many times over for saving this baby
Did you happen to give the Police a description of the car and the abuser? You are his Guardian Angel. I think all people including Animal Control in other states who shoot kittens and gas innocent animals in animal shelters in 31 states should all be punished and made to live in a dog kennel and eat dog food.
Thank you so much for taking care of him. I hope he gets everything he needs including a forever family.
Bless you Joshua Brewer for helping this little one. Rewards in heaven for you, for that.
So happy to hear Nerak is doing well after surgery. God bless you Joshua for helping this beautiful dog.
