A Birthday Bed for Bruce!

It's been almost 5 years since Bruce's amazing surprise 60th birthday party. My sister and I initially threw the party to celebrate our dad and to bring all the people who love him together in one room. We had also recently found out that he had been diagnosed with early-onset dementia and we wanted him to have a special birthday memory to cherish.
Since 2013, some things have changed. Bruce has moved from living independently to assisted living and then eventually to two different adult foster care settings. He doesn't like it, and the changes in his quality of life have been hard for us to watch. Our dad struggles daily with mood swings, depression, and, most recently, bouts of paralyzing paranoia that make it hard for him to engage in life.
This year, we considered organizing another birthday party for Bruce to celebrate his 65th year. Knowing the difficulty he's been having lately in social situations, however, we decided on something else.
Bruce spends a lot of time in his room, and most of that time in his bed. Unfortunately, his room was too small to accommodate his plush queen pillow-top mattress (which he sweetly gifted to his granddaughter, Lily), and he settled on the twin-sized mattress provided with his room. Having frequent trouble sleeping and an increase in all-over arthritis pain, Bruce has experienced a growing disdain for his "frickin' twin-size bed."
For his 65th birthday this year, we're hoping to surprise our dad with a birthday delivery of a comfortable, durable, plush, pillow-top extra-long full-size mattress, along with a warm comforter, nice pillows, and some cozy sheets. If you're able, please pitch in any amount you are able to, and help give Bruce a warm, cozy reminder of your love and support for him.
His birthday is April 3rd, so this is a little last-minute. But I know we can do this! Thank you in advance, and, as Bruce would say, "God bless you!"
