Jing's fight against cancer

Donation protected
Jing has been fighting the Big C battle discretely. If you have read my update on March this year, her Breast Cancer has metastasized to her lungs. With the funds we have raised, she went to China to get additional treatment. And here was her message on April 18, 2017, in case you weren’t able to get that update since the original GoFundMe link for her has already been archived. “Super super big THANK YOU to everyone who provided help in many ways with my fight with the big C. I am deeply moved with all the outpouring help and concern that all of you are giving me. Your prayers, treatment researches and most of all financial aide are very much appreciated. For those that I really don't know and those that I am just acquainted with, super thank you and may God bless you fourfold of blessings. For my friends and colleagues sorry if at some point I misunderstood your intentions but deep in my heart I really appreciate your thoughts and concern. I know I need to fight because all of you still wants to see my annoying face in the office.
Right now I'm done with the 1st immuno treatment in Guangzhou last March. I did my 1st chemo in St Luke’s last Apr 4&11. This coming Apr 25& May 2 will be my 2nd cycle of chemo. If everything will go smoothly I will be back hopefully within June”.

Here's the latest update:
It was the week after Jing's birthday when she started falling ill. She thought it was a simple flu, so she went to the doctor with her Dad who was having the same symptoms (sore throat, headache, cough and fever). They were prescribed with flu medicines and antibiotics that they can stop taking after 3-4 days. But these medicines didn’t work for her and she started to feel unusual pain in her nape. The pain started to worsen that not even a high dosage of painkiller seems to work. It was later followed by vomitting episodes which lead her family to rush her to ER. Succeeding tests (MRI and CT scan) confirmed the spread of tumors to her brain. They found several tumors (4cm,3cm and few small ones) which explains why she she couldn’t do the simple “with your left hand , point to the tip of your nose” test. She was then given high dosage of steroids to ease the pain and was recommended to undergo whole brain radiotherapy (10-day WBR), to hopefully reduce the size of the large ones and eliminate the small ones. She will be undergoing MRI test again and will eventually be subjected to Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) to target the large tumors. Aside from that, she is contemplating on going back to China to get additional treatment.

I admire her fighting spirit and her will to keep going. I will never know how strong she is, but every time I talk to her, she remains  to be that jolly, high-spirited and funny girl I have known for a very long time.

So with all of our friends (Jo Dimasacat, Melai Salazar, Addie Toledo, Betty Teodoro, Alex Merida and David Carter), we are knocking on your generous hearts to help us in helping our very dear friend Jing. Any amount you will share will definitely be appreciated. Thank you and God bless you all.
