Jimi King (Traumatic Brain Injury)

Jimi King: Whether you are family, best friends, or just an acquaintance of his you know that he has a heart of Gold and is willing to help anyone in need, thus his reasoning for joining the fire department. Well now it is our turn to give back to our dear friend who is in dire need!

Many of you may have seen the thoughts and prayers going out to Jimi and his family on Social media. Early this week Jimi was involved in a severe motorcycle accident, he was traveling down a very familiar road when control of the bike was lost. The bike hit a curb/median and Jimi was ejected off the motorcycle and landed a great distance from the crash. Jimi hit his head on impact causing severe damage to the brain and the rest of his body.

Jimi was rushed to a nearby hospital where they quickly began brain surgery. The surgeons removed a hematoma from the right side of his brain and then removed a portion of the Skull to relieve swelling.

As the Nurse stated “Jimi is doing well for the circumstances and is getting feisty”. He is currently in the ICU in an induced coma. With his strong will and our support we will get OUR Jimi back in no time.

This tragic accident came only a few short weeks after Jimi’s Birthday and the loss of his Health Insurance. Due to the intensive treatment that he has been given, the medical expenses are astronomical. If we can give back to Jimi what he has given us in Heart, Spirt, and Friend Ship these medical costs will be completely covered and more. I set our Goal high but I know it can be well surpassed. If you cannot give financial support at this time I ask that you send your thoughts and prayers to Jimi and his Family!

The faster the funds are raised the sooner we will see Jimi up walking and talking.

Information regarding the account:

I, Clayton Anderson, the creator of this account reside in Estes Park, Co. Since I am too far away to visit Jimi on a regular basis, I wanted show my support of the situation in the one way that I could, raising funds.

 Jimi and went to High school and played baseball together, but in our spare time we were usually found at a nearby lake fishing together. As life really began we drifted apart, however we made sure to stay in-touch. I know that this experience will only grow our friendship for years to come.

The funds that have been raised for Jimi will be used for supporting him through this process along with helping to cover his medical/recovery bills. Go Fund Me will only hold funds for 30 days and then requires them to be deposited into another account, or they will decline any new donations. Therefore, the money will be withdrawn from the Go Fund Me account and placed into a savings account until requested.
