Jim Streeter Fund

At the beginning of June 2017, the Streeter family were hit with devastating news. For many of you who know Jim, he is a wonderful husband, loving father of two, and an amazing friend to all who've had the pleasure of meeting him. Jim was never a smoker and all of his symptoms started with a cough. You can imagine the horrific shock their family went through when he was diagnosed with Non-small Cell Endocarcinoma (Lung Cancer). Initially, this cancer type had a targeted pill that could shrink the size of the tumors. Since this summer of 2018, the pill has stopped working and the cancer has spread rapidly. Jim has undergone aggressive radiation and chemotherapy. Despite the excruciating pain, Jim continues to fight every single day. For many years Jim has given back to friends, family, and the community of Dracut MA and now Oviedo FL. He, along with Tara, have welcomed multiple families into their home, they have hosted soccer coaches from Europe, were involved in many fundraisers, and the list can go on. He is a wonderful, hardworking man, and I consider him my family. The Streeters have always supported their loved ones and now they need our help. Besides your many prayers that they continue to need, there are now many burdens added into their life. With their children Ally & Jack in college, enormous medical bills, daily life expenses, and Jim no longer being able to work, I wanted to help take away some of their stress. With their family and close friends so far away, I felt creating this page was most appropriate. Although I had to put an amount on here, you can never put an amount on the toll that cancer takes on one's family.  Whether or not you know Jim personally, he is the most deserving person I know and any donation will be greatly appreciated by the entire Streeter family.
