Jim & Val Boyd Flood Relief

On Wednesday, June 26 the Chicago south suburbs were hit with a terrible storm.  Several towns including Crete, IL received significant amounts of rain.  My brother, Jim Boyd and his wife Val had a devastating amount of rain which flooded their basement with 4 feet of water.  They lost their furnace, hot water heater, water softener,  sump pump, washer & dryer, refrigerator, and many personal items. In addition, their driveway and garage were also flooded causing both of their cars to be totaled as well as destroying other items including many power tools.  Unfortunately,  as with most homeowners insurance policies, the coverage for floods is very limited. While they feel very blessed that they and their beloved pets were safe, this devastation is causing significant hardship.  Please consider making a donation to help Jim and Val during this difficult time.
