Exxon gas station surveillance camera  Fatal gas station crash    https://www.11alive.com/article/news/woman-thankful-to-be-alive-after-being-seriously-hurt-by-flying-car/85-e22de54f-3c6f-4c0b-a992-0b56dea1d3a4 Who I am: Hey y'all. I am Jewel Praise Eden, a resident of the city of Lawrenceville (county of Gwinnett) Georgia.  I have worked mostly in retail with awesome establishments like Publix Supermarkets, Home Depot, Ingles etc and have almost always held a second gig (presently Little Caesars) to supplement my income. What Happened: Well, as you can see from the video, I was minding my own business, having a pretty good day (October the 8th, Columbus Day). Coming out of the Exxon gas station at the junction of Lawrenceville Hwy (U.S 24) and Johnson Road  I noticed a vehicle seemingly run a red light and come hurtling at me at what must have been at least 70 mph! My vehicle was parked in the first parking spot to the left of the gas station. I screamed to alert people of its presence while running towards my vehicle. I was pretty sure I was out of harms way when I reached the driver's-side of my car, but little did I know that the car had hit a guard rail at one of the pumps thus forcing the vehicle to change its direction. Next thing I heard was a loud poof!!! I had been hit in my chest by the combined force of two (2) vehicles as the vehicle crashed into my car, somehow, climbing on top of it and dragging/crashing it into the Exxon brick wall that came crumbling down. I remember dusting off and spitting pieces of my teeth as pink blood frothed at my mouth. The Injuries: I sustained multiple broken ribs; a broken tail bone; multiple fractures in my right hip; and crashed teeth. Over the course of the days and weeks that have followed, I have been diagnosed with contusion of the lungs; my lungs filled with fluid; and life threatening pulmonary emboli (blood clots in both lungs) etc.  Of course, my vehicle was totaled. Help Help!!!:  I have been running up bills from when the EMS/ambulance first showed up at the scene to numerous and often multiple medical procedures used to diagnose and/or treat my numerous injuries. And, of course I am still under continued medical care and there is no telling what the final cost will be. As of October 26th when I was discharged from Gwinnett Medical Hospital, I had about 6 clinics to attend regularly. I can no longer work, and will be out for months, and I am unable to pay for the care that is necessary for me to heal. However, with the help of the community I am hopeful that I can proceed to a quick and full recovery. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
