Hello and welcome to my Gofundme page. My name is Jessiana Feliccia, call me Jesy. As of September 18th of 2016, I am 24 years old.
I grew up in Hillsdale, NJ until I was about 21 years old. Then my family moved to Ramsey and now I just moved into Mahwah, NJ.
When I was 17, I was having a difficult time academically in school. I had no friends, didn't make connections with any of my teachers, and my academic performance was poor. It was so bad that by October I stoped doing my homework and eventually my in class work. I started hurting myself in late November. In January of that school year I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and put on Citalopram (Celexa). But my school performance did not improve. School was so bad that I refused to attend the last day of school. By September of the new school year, I was a senior and it was the best year of high school! My medication was working! And the transition from high school to college was great and living in a dormitory was no problem! I had great roommates!
Then when I was 22, my depression relapse. I was being bullied in school and the bullying was so bad that I stopped talking in my classes. My medication wasn't working and I was hurting myself. I took a 3 week break from school to attend an outpatient program near where I live. And that program saved me. New medication was added with the Citalopram. Medications added were Abilify (to help boost the citalopram), Trazedone (for sleep), and Klonopin (for the anxiety). I was also re-diagnosis with Bipolar II, Insomnia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Panic Disorder. The outpatient program saved me and I returned to school, a bit better, but I was able to complete my work and pass my classes.
In August of 2016, I went to Florida for my second Disney College Program. My role was parking but due to a skin condition, I was changed to Auto Plaza at Magic Kingdom (the toll booth). But I felt lonely and got yelled at a lot by guests who were upset due to being lost or having to pay an extra 20 dollars for parking. My anxiety and panic disorder became so bad that by the end of September, for my health reason, I had to leave and returned home to NJ. I entered a state of depression and fear of people. I wouldn't go out without my mom or best friend. If I went out alone, it was because I had to but I felt very anxious about it.
Now in January of 2017, I've gone to the grocery store by myself. But that's mainly it. Everything else I do with my mom or best friend. Because I fear that people will yell at me for no reason. It is an unrealistic fear.
My GoFundMe page is to help me aquire a psychiatric service dog that can help with my anxiety. Especially in public or even at home. I'm hoping that the dog can provide deep pressure therapy and be used as a safe guard between me and people, such as people not coming too close to me.
