Hello!
My name is Jessi Brutton and I'm a screen writer. I recently wrote a screenplay that was submitted to the Broadcast Education Association's Festival of Media Arts. The Festival of Media Arts received submissions for all of their categories from both students and faculty at 174 different universities across the US. Out of all of the feature screenplays submitted by students, they chose mine as the first place winner. My screenplay will be presented along with the other winners at the BEA Convention in Las Vegas in April. Now I'm looking for a way to get there.
The proceeds from this crowdfunding campaign will help me to cover travel, hotel fares, food costs, and admission to the convention itself. This is a unique opportunity that not only allows me to represent my university, but could help me get my foot in the door in the film industry. To be able to make it to this convention to receive this honor would mean the world to me, and I am grateful for anything that you can spare, even if it's just through sharing this campaign to provide support!
It's my dream to make a career for myself out of screen writing, and this is the first of many steps I can take to make this a reality.
