Kangaroo Island lost 95% of its wildlife & livestock devastated by the fires,  those who survived are still under threat of dehydration & starvation as their habitat has been destroyed. 

My name is Jessica Hammond & I have  worked in Lloyd's pharmacy for 5 yrs as Lancome Accounts manager. I will be taking 4 weeks  unpaid leave along with my boyfriend Dan Matthews who is self employed to fly out to the Island on the 17th of February as volunteers to help  hands on with food & water stations, planting,  mending fences, feeding koala's and Joeys etc the  Islands Wildlife Park & Hanson Bay Wildlife sanctuary.  
I have lived in & been part of Epping my entire  life and i know we are a community that pulls together and wants to help when tragedy happens!. I am hoping to raise as much money  possible to be able to donate  to the  Kangaroo Island Wildlife Network. Every single penny will be given to the  appeal as Dan & i have self funded through savings and family support & we will be staying with my  auntie Mandy Johnson who lives on the Island who i will be meeting for the first time. I will be keeping my Facebook  & Instagram regularly  updated with live videos and pictures to show where your money is going and what is being achieved while we are on the island plus  meet some of the little fella's & follow their progress, hopefully some releases back to the wild & of course the all important chq of funds raised handed over. xx
