This will hopefully be our 3rd year bringing the Tumblers to our school!!! When I started this event several years ago, I thought we would do it once and be done. Well after seeing how much our kids enjoyed the Tumblers, I have continued the tradition of bringing the Tumblers to Garden Hills Elementary, in Champaign, IL. The performance alone is spectacular when you see it that close you have an even greater appreciation for their skill than before, but the remarkable part is how they interact and inspire our kids.
Having the Tumblers would not be possible without the generous donations of family, friends, and individuals inspired to help our nations youth.
Garden Hills Elementary is in Champaign, IL and is a school where economic hardhsips are very prevelant and common. Our entire student population receives free breakfast and lunch and many are living at or below poverty. This event has always been a sense of pride to our students and something they look forward to every year.
After two years of having so many friends show their willingness to give to this cause, I felt this was the year Garden Hills also gives back to the cause. That is why we will also be gifting the Tumblers to another local elementary school. This will come as a total surprise to this elementary school as only their school principal knows. The tumblers will surprise this school in the morning with a performance before performing at our school in the afternoon.
No donation is too small or too big!!! Please think about donating and helping brighten our students experience at Garden Hills. I am truly greatful for any friends and family that take time to donate or pass on our page to help bring the Tumblers to NOT one but two schools here in Champaign!
