Jeri Katsaros's Cancer Expenses

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you, our mother Jeri Katsaros, was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2016. Her battle with an aggressive and rapidly spreading cancer began with many rounds of multiple chemotherapies, all of which have failed. She subsequently had breast surgery to remove the primary tumor in her breast, however the disease had already spread to her lymph nodes. Radiation therapy was used to help minimize her pain caused by the enlarged lymph nodes. However, the pain did not subside and landed her in the hospital for over 3 weeks. During her stay at the hospital, we learned her battle with cancer will come to an unfortunate end in the near future. She is now home where we are making her as comfortable as possible with the help of hospice care. This journey and battle have been incredibly difficult, however she has been undeniably strong, brave, optimistic and has kept her faith through this entire struggle. 

As many of you have offered your assistance in various ways, you may help contribute towards her medical expenses as the cost for chemotherapy, radiation, and hospital stays have amounted to much more than we expected. As she is home now, we  have also found the need for around the clock nursing care.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask for privacy and understanding. We respectfully request for limited communications as we spend this precious time as a family.
