Jenny Pattison-Lundeen's Battle

Donation protected
Anyone who has ever known Jenny knows how incredibly positive she is. Despite anything life has thrown at her, she's handled it with grace and hope. With her recent diagnosis and a new baby to care for, we are asking all of you to send that positivity back to her now more than ever.

Last week Jenny went in for her yearly MRI and found that her brain tumor had doubled in size. She is going into surgery this Wednesday, October 19th to remove the new growth.

Her Journey
In September of 2002 while attending college at Minnesota State University, Mankato, Jenny received the devastating news that she had a cancerous brain tumor. After undergoing an operation in November, she endured 30 treatments of radiation in Sioux Falls, South Dakota while simultaneously keeping up with her college credits.

In June of 2003, she found out she would have to have a second operation. Complications with the second surgery led her to elongated chemotherapy lasting for 18 grueling months. In the midst of it all, Jenny continued to work full-time and spread joy to everyone around her. Her tumor shrunk and her condition remained steady.

When Joel came into Jenny's life they hit it off from the start. They were married in December of 2009 and began their life together. It was their dream to have children, but the doctors let them know that a pregnancy would be highly unlikely for them due to her previous cancer treatments. Jenny, again, accepted the news with grace and hope.

A miracle was given to Jenny and Joel in July of this year when they welcomed their beautiful baby girl Katie. Jenny and Joel were beside themselves with their perfect little bundle and couldn't wait for all the joys of parenthood that lay ahead.

However, just last week, tragedy struck again when Jenny went in for her yearly MRI and learned that her brain tumor had doubled in size. This time, the news of another surgery was all the more devastating when Jenny and Joel began to think of Katie. Jenny also had to switch her maternity leave to a medical leave, turning a joyous, routine reason to take time off into a tragic and difficult one. Jenny's surgery will require months of rehabilitation away from home, which will leave Joel to care for baby Katie as well as continue to work.

It is our hope that donations to this campaign will help alleviate the onslaught of medical bills as well as allow Joel to take some time away from work to care for their baby and Jenny while she is recovering. In addition to that, we hope they use the money however they see fit to keep the family's spirits up and minimize stress during this most difficult time.

Thank you for considering this worthy cause for a loving family,

Team Jenny
