Jenny & David's IVF Fund

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jean DeWater and I am looking to raise money to help pay for an IVF procedure that could be my niece’s only chance of having a child.  I am setting up this GoFundMe page on behalf of my niece, Jenny, and her husband, David.  They are a young couple that got married a couple of years ago.  They are very much in love and have a great marriage and are always there supporting each other.  Shortly after they were married they decided they wanted to start a family like they had always dreamed of and share their love with a child.  After some time of trying to become pregnant and each month being disappointed, they decided to look into whether or not there was an underlying cause as to why this was not happening.  They met with a fertility specialist and had all the necessary lab work, testing and examinations done to hopefully rule out that there was a problem.  However, as it turns out, that was not the case and that step was just the beginning of a long road ahead of them.

My niece was informed she had a very low AMH level – which means she has a low ovarian reserve.  She is only 29 and unfortunately, a low ovarian reserve means time is not on her side as far as egg production.  Her husband also has low morphology, which basically means that the two issues together have prevented them from being able to achieve their hope of becoming pregnant on their own.

They proceeded with their first cycle of IVF, which sadly did not result in a positive pregnancy after the implantation.  None of the other embryos that were retrieved and fertilized at the same time survived either so that meant they had no others to fall back on in order to attempt another implantation.  This means they are back to starting over again from square one.  It is absolutely heartbreaking to see them have their hopes crushed when it failed.  I, along with the rest of their family, would do ANYTHING to not have them suffer that heartbreak again.  They have already spent over $30,000 between the initial testing and the first failed IVF attempt.  They have now exhausted all of their resources that they had as well as what they were saving to purchase their first house, but their dream of having a child was first and foremost their top  priority.  This second IVF cycle will cost approximately $25,000 more and of course, insurance covers none of it.  They are willing to do whatever they can to make this happen.

As far as myself– I feel absolutely helpless.  It is painful to stand by and watch them go through this and not be able to help them in some way.  If I could write them a check to cover the whole thing for this round, I would do it in a heartbeat.  Realistically, what I am able to do is a small drop in the bucket compared to what they really need.  As I have come to find out, 1 in 8 couples will suffer from infertility issues, and of course, you never imagine it will be you or someone you care about.  Jenny and David have SO much love to give a child and want so badly to become parents and have a family.  This is the only thing I could think of to try and help them in some way.

So I am reaching out to EVERYONE.  Please consider a donation to help them pay for this second IVF procedure.  No amount is too small and would be sincerely GREATLY appreciated.  If you have been lucky enough to become a parent yourself, you know how much joy a child brings into your life.  Jenny and David would be fantastic parents and any child would be lucky to have them for their parents.  Please help them try to make this dream a reality for them.  Again, every little bit will help them.  Thank you all for considering this and please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Whether you are able to help them out or not, please consider passing their story along to family and friends on your social media as well, because the more people this reaches, the better chance they have of getting some much needed help.  Thank you all!
