My name is Jennifer James, and my daugher Jacqueline Wiles is an Olympic alpine ski
racer on the U.S. Ski Team. Jacqueline and her older brother Steele practically grew up on Mt. Hood, learning to ski and race. We skied together as a family and made life-long friends!
Jacqueline's devotion and commitment to her sport, with unwaivering hard work, has enabled her to compete on the World Cup level. Her evolving career has been long and arduous, yet her passion and dedication to her lofty goals has been fulfilling and rewarding. She inspires me daily, and she mentors young racers in our community throughout her journey. I am beyond proud and I have always supported her in every way possible!
Practically growing up on Mt. Hood and racing throughout the Pacific Northwest, Jacqueline has had a vision of competing in the Olympics and having the opportunity to represent our country, racing against the world's best athletes!
I was so very proud of Jacqueline when she was just 21 and made the Olympic team. However, unfortunately, because of a change in my life circumstances, I was not able to travel to Russia and attend her first Olympic games so that I could share in her Olympic debut. I was crushed to not have the funds that would allow me to be there in person to watch her realize her life-long goal of competing in the Olympics in Socchi, Russia! It was her dream come true to participate! This experience ignited a bigger fire within her to train even harder to qualify for the 2018 Winter Olympics and bring a medal home!
Training, traveling and racing on the World Cup tour takes tremendous funds! Jacqueline has attracted and secured generous and key sponsors who have contributed to her racing fund, without which she would not have been able to continue on the World Cup Circuit and grow and mature into the amazing young woman and athlete that she is today! She takes seriously her commitment and ability to give back to the community and mentors young athletes in the summer through her Jackie Wiles Ski Camp on Mt. Hood every July, throughout the year giving inspirational talks, and through her website

The 2018 Winter Olympics is just a few weeks away, and I am anxious and excited for Jacqueline! Having missed my daughter's first Olympics, I will be DEVASTATED if I cannot accompany her to our up-and-coming Olympics. I have worked with BucketListEvents and have put together a tentative trip itinerary! I almost had a heart attack when I saw and computed the amount of money necessary! I cannot give up the chance to share in my daughter's Olympic competition so I am reaching out to you!
My dream is to garner the funds as soon as possible so that I may travel to South Korea and witness my daughter represent our country competing in her Downhill and Super-G alpine events!
I am asking for those of you who have the ability to help and contribute what you can! If I am able to go to South Korea, I will be sharing the amazing experience on social media. Jacqueline and I will look forward to sending a thank you souvenier to all who have the ability and generosity to help fund my dream trip to the 2018 Winter Olympics!!!
