Jenna's Fund


Hello! I'm Jenna. In 2014, when I was 14 years old, I came down with Dysautonomia, a severely debilitating chronic illness, and was bed ridden for over a year because of it. I had, and still do have, a hard time getting around and going places, since I have a hard time standing for long periods of time/walking long distances without getting tachycardia and heart palpitations and feeling weak, fatigued, dizzy, and short of breath. For the past 4 years I have been stuck in my house, only really being able to leave for doctors appointments and hospital visits.

Luckily I have made progress and am no longer bed ridden, but I still have a hard time standing for long and walking long distances, which makes it hard for me to go places or live somewhat of a normal life.

I have also been struggling with mental health issues, and pushing myself to get back out into the world and out of my comfort zone more is very important to helping me heal and live a better life.

The money fundraised would help me be able to have:

- A seated walker, which would help me be able to go to places that may make me symptomatic if I have to stand a lot, allowing me to sit down if I need to.

- A seated electric scooter, which would allow me to go to local places since walking and biking are hard on me and I am unable to drive.

These mobility devices would allow me to have a much better quality of life, give me more independence and mobility, and push me toward the road to recovery. I am now 18 years old and have finished highschool (virtually). Mobility aids would allow me to be able to be an active member of society again and work toward my future.

ANYTHING would help! Since I am pretty much home bound, I have no job or income and won't be able to afford these mobility aids without the fundraising. Just a few dollars would really help!
