My brother, Jeff Hanauer, is truly an extraordinary man. His kindness, spirit of adventure, skilled craftsmanship, love for friends, family and dogs is genuine, precious, and loved by all who know him.
Jeff has been single all his life while being so deeply devoted to his family. He has been a loving son to his Mom, a kind and available brother to all of his brothers and sisters (Holly, Lynn, Susie, Brad, Greg and Warren) and nothing short of a great and attentive uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
He has been a loyal friend to so many people like Johnny, Buster, Diana, Detlef, Bill, Lance, Jared Jerry, Kevin, Kathy, Alan, Mary, Corrine, Deanne, Jody, Dean, Lee, Troy, Jake, Darcy, Michael, Dave, Bob and others who are all such amazing people that he has treasured for every moment shared with them.
He is well known by his neighbors as he is always willing to help anyone.
Jeff is a true master carpenter. With his generous demeanor he has enjoyed improving so many people’s homes over the years. So many in fact that you couldn’t write them all only one page.
His love of German Shepard’s is amazing. He has dedicated a tremendous amount of time serving as the President of his club enjoying attending and also teaching classes on Wednesdays. Over the years he has helped countless dogs and their owners.
He loves to fly and fight model airplanes and served as the Treasurer of that club too. He has been blessed with so many good friendships all over, California, Texas, Indiana as well as here and I’m sure most everywhere.
Jeff has always loved cars and car shows. He enjoys it all from years ago cruising Central to now restoring and attending cars for the car shows and hearing the roar of NASCAR.
Jeff’s many hobbies keep him busy and connected to so many like a social butterfly with a wrench, hammer or leash in hand.
Somewhere from all the connections and activities a valued relationships have spawned or perhaps you are hearing of my amazing brother for the very first time. Either way, I have shared all of this because now he needs help.
Jeff had a dissection of his aorta last Wednesday night in two places. He had emergency surgery immediately, the surgeons performed an ascending aorta dissection with arch involvement and a valve. This is Major stuff!
As all of us you know him and love him are waiting for him to wake up. Then he looks to be in for a 4-6 month recovery. I am reaching out to any and all of you with a request to help him financially if you could. We are trying to get his monthly living expenses covered so he can recover and be strong again. Every little bit will help and we know that he means so much to so many.
