Save the DAY: A Drive for Jeff

Jeff Day is a charismatic chauffeur who would do anything to brighten another’s day. If you are blessed to personally know Jeff, you know how much he loves his wife Teresita, daughter Isabella Maria, and family. Due to a recent slip on ice, accompanied by horrible headaches, he went to the hospital. The doctors discovered a large cancerous mass with lesions on his brain and immediately scheduled him for surgery. He currently faces 8 weeks of recovery with chemo and radiation treatments. The Costs As Jeff’s co-workers, Diane, Melissa and I hope that the money raised will cover the cost of Jeff’s current and future medical bills and alleviate the stress for him and his family during his treatments. Due to the unfortunate circumstances, Jeff has been left with no health insurance or benefits such as loss of wages due to illness. Also, the family car has recently been deemed undrivable and must be replaced, as transportation is needed to and from the hospital for Jeff and his family. The Backstory Jeff’s daughter, Isabella Maria, recently told us one of her father’s good deeds: “On the way to the hospital, knowing he had a cancerous mass, he ran into the store to grab a Coke Zero (of course) and paid for the guy behind him in line, just because he wanted to make the guy’s day better.”  That is Jeff. He is continuously performing selfless acts simply for the love of others. On another occasion, he was driving home from work and noticed a house engulfed in flames. He immediately ran to the house to see if anyone was inside. Due to this heroic act, he saved the lives of every resident in the house before the first responders even arrived. He has been on numerous mission trips; Alabama to rebuild homes after the tornado, New Orleans twice to rebuild after hurricane Katrina, and Haiti to give relief after the devastating earthquake in 2010. Also, for 20 years he rode in the PMC for the Jimmy Fund. How You Can Help Diane, Melissa and I extend our sincere gratitude for your consideration of sharing or donating to this worthy cause.
