Jeff Brunnemer's Medical Fund

Jeff has been dealing with a lower-back issue for most of this school year. Last Wednesday, he woke up with a pain he has never experienced. He went to the St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood, where he went through an MRI. A few spots showed up. A doctor took a bone marrow biopsy. He was then told he would go to St. Vincent Anderson Regional on Thursday to be ready for a series of tests. He then went through a bone scan, another MRI, x-ray, ultrasound. The second MRI showed bone lesions on the L3 and T11 vertebrae. He had back surgery where biopsies were extracted and cement (yes concrete!) was injected into his fractured, crushed L3 and T11 vertebraes. His doctor told him that it was confirmed he has a cancer called Multiple Myeloma. He will go through 6 weeks of chemotherapy, steroids, and anti-nausea medicine, followed with a bone marrow auto-transplant.

The funds being raised will help Jeff and his wife with the expensive costs associated with his hospital stays, treatments, surgeries, and any upaid leave he may need to take from work.

Jeff's treatment has already started and you can show your support by praying for Jeff and/or donating towards this cause.
