My name is Anne San and I never thought I would need to ever write a letter like this.
In January 2018 my wonderful daughter Jeannette was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer (HER2 +ER positive)
Our life as we knew it changed from that moment on.
She has endured gruelling and painful treatments over the last 12 months.
Jeanette’s positivity ,strength and determination to beat this has been second to none.
Following all this she was then told she was clear of the cancer but would have to continue with chemotherapy and very strong medication to keep the cancer away.
However our period of happiness was short lived when in January 2019 she was told her cancer had spread.
As you can only imagine we were devastated about the news and what the future holds for my gorgeous girl.
Jeannette has a loving husband Tommy and two beautiful girls Heidi 7yrs and Esmae aged 3 years.
The girls are only aware that mummy is continuing with her treatments. and Jeannette and Tommy want the girls to continue as much as possible in their normal happy way.
We would be grateful that any discussions between people does not include the girls or any other children present.
Throughout this cancer “journey” we, as a family, have never been more proud of Jeannette for her courage , selflessness and her ability to not only deal with her own diagnosis and carry on with normal day to day stuff but also her willingness to help and meet other young women who have been faced with a new diagnosis of breast cancer .
We have now embarked on a crusade to give her the best possible chance by continuing with NHS treatments as well as private alternative therapies not yet available on the NHS. These treatments will cost approximately £2850 per month.
At present our family are funding the treatments because we believe we can still beat this disease.
There is no price on Jen’s life and we will do anything and everything for her but as you can see the costs are considerable as day to day normal living costs still have to be met.
We need your help as much as possible to continue to fight this disease for my daughter her husband and her gorgeous girls.
Any contributions to help Jeannette and her family will be greatly appreciated and all of the donations will go towards funding her treatments to give her the best opportunity to beat this horrendous disease.
