Each selected player is expected to raise funds toward the participation of Irish teams in the 12th World Deaf Golf Championships. The total costs of sending teams could be in a region of €25,000 and not all of the costs will be supported by government grants therefore we are expected to raise funds as much as possible. Each individual player and official are encouraged to organise fundraising ventures.

I have organised the 72 holes in a day challenge which I will partake - on Friday, 25th May at Lisheen Springs. To complete the challenge, you are expected to finish off four rounds of golf in a day starting in the morning and finishing in late evening. The challenge would take 20 kilometres to complete. I have sponsorship cards with lines for guessing accurate or nearest predicted scores for the day.

There is another option: Lisheen Springs agreed to donate some of its championship fees towards the fund - the open competition will be held on Sunday, 10th June. Green fees will be €25 and if interested, please pass your name to me and I will reserve places for you.

Otherwise, you can donate online here.

Thank you for your support!
