My Library in the Philippines Fund

My parents, Alberto and Eugenia Nevado, had a dream to come to America for better opportunities for their family. In doing so, my father served in the United States Navy for 22 years and provided his family with opportunities for success. My mother, a licensed vocational nurse, maintained the household while my father was away overseas.
They both valued education immensely, acknowledging that it was our key to success. As a result, all four children graduated with college degrees and all have successful professional careers.
They also had another dream that all children had the same educational opportunities that their children received. This past year, they were able to complete the building of a library in their home barrio of Apaya in the Philippines.
This is their Vision Statement for the Library in Apaya.
"Education is a basic human right. We envision a community space that values learning and serves as a vessel of knowledge shared with many generations to come."
This is where we need your generous help. We are looking for a total amount of $4000 in donations to cover the costs of books, three computers ($400 each), furniture (chairs, tables, bookshelves), plumbing, and landscaping.
Any amount is greatly appreciated. A donation of $2 will get us a brand new textbook and $7 will get us a chair. No donation is too small.
If you believe in my parents' vision, please contribute to our Library fund. We will also build a plaque acknowledging all of the donors which will be placed inside of the Library.
