Prevent Assisted Living Eviction

Bruce Dellimore  is my friend.  I have had the pleasure of his acquaintance this past year while visiting his assisted living community.  He is 84 years young,carries himself with grace , has sea blue eyes, and  a lovely accent from his native British Virgin Islands.  He is also a jazz musician and has been known to play concerts for the fellow resident of the assisted living community despite having cancer.  Presently, he is undergoing chemotherapy,utilizes a catheter and colostomy bag.  To the best of my knowledge, he has utilized all his  savings. His Social Security only covers a portion of  his room,board,and personal care. He depends on special assistance programs to defray the cost.  Special assistance  programs require yearly assessments and filing of required paperwork.   He manages all this on his own...unfortunately  this time he did not manage his affairs timely.  His personal care funding has been denied and is awaiting mediation. I am currently trying to locate an advocate to assist him with these matters. However,  he has acquired charges for unfunded personal care. He received a 30-day eviction notice Nov 09,2016 .  Nov 11, 2016,  the staff of the assisting living community removed a majority of his belongings and set them outside in the parking lot...other belongings were reported to be put in the dumpster in preparation for eviction and dismissal of services.  Nov 12,2016, police were called as Mr. Bruce became agitated because he was trying to locate his medical supplies that were removed from his room.  My goal is to quickly raise funds to pay off his assisted living  billing that is in arrears to stop the eviction. Secondly, I am hopeful that local adult case managers  can advocate on his behalf and pursue the necessary means to reinstate his funding. Aged,poor,sick and alone...I hope that day never comes for me or my loved ones. Thank you for your consideration in helping my friend.
