Jaymees Special Needs Education

Meet Jaymee. Jaymee is 9 years old and is diagnosed as nonverbal autism, epilepsy and mixed expressive language disorder. She is currently in 4th grade but only because of keeping up with children her age. Since moving to Tennessee we have had nothing but problems within the education system. Starting with administration right down to teachers and aides in the classroom. She has been left off of field trip buses, she is sent home constantly because instead of sitting her on the toilet when a bowel movements comes about, they change her multiple times forcing the district wide rule to come into play that she must then been sent home. Jaymee is not potty trained and has been sent home more than once with stains in her pull up from lack of wiping. She comes home in changes of clothes constantly because they don't change her often enough. She doesnt handle coughing well, so every once ijn awhile she gets sent home because she gags on the phlegm and makes herself throw up. We've seen major regression since going back after summer, we had so many strides this year that have been completely blown out of the water due to the fact that the we can't get them to stay on the same page. She has behavioral issues due to being nonverbal, we have tried to implement what we have been provided by our behavioral therapist, but it's been nothing but a battle. My little brother was put in the same class this year to help specifically with field trips and out of classroom activities, but yet they refuse to use him. They claim she is well taken care of but yet my daughter can manage to run through the class naked, at least twice a week. We spend our summers working diligently on bad behaviors just for them to turn them back around the second she goes back to school. They allow her to roam the school without shoes just so they don't have to fight her. She is coming home with bruising on the back of her arms as well as nail scratches. I ask the school and they claim that it's all her fault...I'm sick to my stomach anymore with not knowing what they are doing to my daughter at school. She needs her education back and the schools in Tennessee are doing nothing but hurting my child. Please if you can find it in your heart to donate anything will help. We just need enough to take us back to Texas and get Jaymee back into schools that will actually give her an education and not just be a babysitter and treat her like she is nothing but a thorn in their sides. As of right now we are not in the best of positions to be able to afford a home, so we are tiny house living in a 36 FT fifth wheel. This money will just give us enough to pull our home to Texas and put us in a lot so we can get things started back in Texas. We are on a tight timeline which is why I have let down my guard down and gave in to request to set up this page. Again, anything helps and I thank each and every one of you for even taking the time to read our story.
