Jason Solomon Memorial Fund

"No better friend, no worse enemy..."

Staff Sergeant Jason Solomon was many things: Devoted Husband.  Loving Father.  Beloved Son.  Motivated Marine.   Best Friend.  Star Trek Geek.  On Thursday, January 28th, Jason Solomon was untimely taken from us after a sudden cardiac arrest at his home in Hobbs, New Mexico, where he relocated to with his family after he completed his last tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps.

We are starting this Memorial Fund to help ease the burden of his loss and assist his wife Jennifer and son Javen, whom he leaves behind, during their urgent time of need.

Jason, a native of San Antonio, Texas (Go Longhorns), always had the natural ability to make you laugh and possessed the warmest heart.  He was truly one of a kind and one of the kindest, most generous souls you could ever have the pleasure to know.  Frequently he would put others before himself, no matter the situation.  Whether it was a lending hand, an ear to listen to you vent or a shoulder to cry on, you could always depend on Jason Solomon to help you out.

Staff Sergeant Solomon served honorably for over thirteen years in the Marines, including a tour in Fallujah, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in support of the Global War On Terrorism.  Not only a distinguished leader of Marines, he was a great friend to all the Marine brothers and sisters he served with.

Jason also leaves behind thousands of friends whom he met throughout the Star Trek community and online in social media that were his second family.  He shared his love of Star Trek and the universe with Javen.  You could always count on Jason to put a smile on your face as you read his daily posts.

100% of the donations received in this campaign will go directly to assist his wife Jennifer and son Javen.  She has a young child to care for and Jason was the family's only source of income due to Jennifer being a stay-at-home mom and her own, on-going medical concerns.  The money raised will immediately help her with funeral services, caring for the family and raising Javen, who is autistic.

Please give generously as Jason would have done the same for you.  Keep Jason and his family in your thoughts and prayers.  Thank you in advance for loving and supporting Jennifer, Javen and their family during this unimaginable time.

Live Long and Prosper, Jason.  Enjoy your journey among the stars.
