Jason Hayes Cancer Fundraiser

Donation protected
Jason was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer on  Sunday July 8th. After not feeling well for several days, Jason decided to visit the ER because he thought he had a hernia. Unfortunately, after running some tests and CT scans, the doctor's gave him the news that no one wants to receive. They advised him that he would need to have emergency surgery the next morning to remove cancer from his colon. During the surgery they discovered that the cancer had spread from his colon and is currently wrapped around his aorta. Due to it being wrapped around the aorta, the surgery was unsuccessful and he will need to seek aggressive chemo treatments.

Those who know Jason best would describe him as a loving husband and father, a great friend, a mentor to many in his business, generous, and always seeking out the best interests of others. This battle will be stressful not only on Jason, but also on his wife and children. During this time we want to rally around the entire family to show them how loved and appreciated they are by all of us.

We know that if anyone is able to win this battle with cancer, it is Jason. About a year ago Jason began a journey of self growth and business ownership. One of the ways that he began to work on himself was through reading books specifically on mindset and personal growth. A book that really impacted Jason during this time was a book entitled, "Take the Stairs" by author Rory Vaden. In this book the author talks about the mindset and resiliency of the buffalo. When a storm is on the horizon, buffalo do not react as most other animals. When most animals would be running from the storm, buffalo run into the storm to face it head on. By facing the storm head on, they can get through the storm quicker and become stronger. Jason has approached this battle with cancer with that same mindset. Throughout the tests, surgery, and treatments Jason has repeatedly said, "It is time to be a Buffalo". At the bottom of this page there is a link to a video with the Buffalo illustration that greatly impacted Jason. Please take a moment to watch the video.

Our goal through this fundraiser is to help Jason be able to focus solely on being the buffalo and beating this battle with cancer. Jason has a long and tough battle ahead and we want to help alleviate the worry about the financial impact this will have on him and his family. As you can imagine, this came on suddenly and did not leave Jason or his family much time to prepare financially for him being off of work or for the money needed to pay for treatments. Please consider helping Jason and his family during this trying and difficult time.
