Hello,
This is our very dear friend Jason Chamlee.
Jason is a loving husband and father and currently suffering from an aggressive form of lymphoma cancer.
We are starting this page to raise money for his treatment and to pay for his living expenses for his wife and son. Any and all prayers are welcome for his health and recovery as well.
Jason is a self-employed sound engineer and therefore has no health insurance or disability.
Jason has worked for George Straight, J Cole, Big Shaun, Martina McBride and Ministry, among many others.
After high school Jason enlisted in the Army, upon his discharge he became an accomplished brick, stone and tile mason. It was during this time that he enrolled and graduated from Devry Technical Institute with an electrical engineering degree. He is one of the foremost authorities on analog power amps. He soon became friends with many folks in the music industry modifying, most notably, Marshall tube amplifiers. His first customers included Rigor Mortis, Ministry and The Butt Hole surfers.
Jason is loyal friend who I have known for thirty years. He has great sense of humor and loves making people laugh. He has always been a devoted and hard working person in all of his endeavors. When we first met we loved going camping and rock climbing.
Jason is an accomplished guitar player having fronted several bands during the 1980’s around the Dallas, Fort Worth area. He has a pure passion for music, which he has passed on to his son, Seth. Seth currently is fronting several bands playing guitar and performing lead vocals.
Jason is a hugger, always greeting his friends with bear hugs. He always has a smile on face and a passion for life and if you let your guard down, loves to pull pranks on you.
How the money will be utilized:
Funds raised will be used to pay for medical expenses and living expenses. This will ease the burden on Jason’s family while he overcomes cancer. Along with chemotherapy there are several other options included which may require him to relocate from his current residence. There is anticipated to be expenses related to this also. In any event Jason has an extended list of family and friends around the country with which he will reside during this treatment.
Any contribution no matter how big or small is appreciated and will solely be used for caring for Jason and his family during these struggling times.
Future outlook:
Jason has a commitment to run sound for the spring series of the Dallas Opera starting in February. It is our hope that with the treatments he can continue his passion and remain healthy.
