Meet Jasmyn Lanae’ Harris. On March 24-25, 2017 Jasmyn had the esteem pleasure of participating in
the Illinois Future Business Leaders of America’s 68th Annual State Leadership Conference held in Springfield, Illinois. During the competition she represented O’Fallon Township High School. She was so excited to win 2nd place in the state in the Word Processing Category. It was an exciting moment and it was even more special because her family was able to make the trip to Springfield and cheer her on during this iconic moment. As the winner, she has been accepted as a contestant in the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference (NLC) to be held June 2017 in Anaheim, California. This is such an amazing opportunity for her and she would love the chance to attend, along with, have her family there as well to
cheer her on as she competes at a National level. I would like to request your sponsorship.
The Future Business Leaders of America NLC judges the Word Processing contestants on application knowledge, document formatting rules and standards, grammar, punctuations, spelling, and proofreading. Contestants are also judged on the ability to produce various types of business forms, letters and mail merge, memos, tables, reports (including statistical), materials from rough draft and unarranged copy, and email messages.
Who she is parallels well with the purpose of the competition and her overall career goals. She's confident, creative, outgoing, and agreeable. She enjoys singing, reading, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her studies, She currently works at the Honey Baked Ham store as a Sales Associate. When not at school or work another major interest of hers is serving with her family at church.
She is not only a member of her local Future Business Leaders of America club, but she is a part of the
Leadership Council for the organization. She received this title by running a campaign in the beginning of the year. With this role, she goes to special meetings to make plans that will best benefit their club and its participants.
She also participates in her church choir as a soprano, and occasionally gets to lead a few songs. She is the second oldest of 6 siblings and her family is truly a Godsend. She loves being a part of such a large and loving family.
Her overall sponsorship goal is $5,500. I have included a breakdown on the expenses the family and herself
will incur for this event. I would greatly appreciate any contribution from you or your company towards her participation in the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference competition.
