Jasmine's Journey To Recovery

One day, we realized our friend, Jasmine Burns had fallen off the face of the earth without warning. We noticed she was absent from family gatherings, events (she always supports our family members) and social media. No one pressed beyond, “where is Jazz?” because we all knew she works extremely hard and possibly unplugged for a while. It wasn’t until she attended a funeral on the arm of one of our brothers that we discovered her disappearance was not intentional. She was now blind and under the attack of a disease that took her as a victim with no scientific logic at all!
Out of seemingly nowhere, Jasmine was diagnosed with Pseudo-tumor Cerebri or Idiopathic Inter-cranial Hypertension (IHH). It occurs when the pressure inside your skull increases. Jasmine isn’t even a candidate for this disease, never knew it was coming and worse, it took the vision in her left eye. To add to the injury, her right eye was left with partial vision during a procedure that possibly went wrong. She kept this mostly to herself and only shared it with a handful of friends and family believing she would overcome this all and get back to her normal. Jasmine has taken care of every single doctor bill and surgery out of pocket, however, since the incident she has not been back to work. Recently, she received a $9,000 doctor bill and the sense of urgency has kicked in with the news of the possibility of her not being able to ever return to work. This page was created to raise monetary funds, to help cover her monthly bills, medical bills and so many unseen challenges that may be costly, before the end of the month. Jazz has repeated over and over to me that she does not want people to see her this way, she didn't want this out because she intends to recover. So, I will respect her wishes and only post of her at her best!
