Jaqoiya’s journey

Jaqoiya Rogers is in the Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. On July 17th, 2019 she was struck by a semi truck. She has had multiple surgeries and requires total care. She is currently unable to do anything for herself. Jaqoiya has made great improvement and still has a long road ahead.  She moved to Columbus with her job over 3 years ago but her home is in Alabama with her family. The neurosurgeon has given our family the ok to take her home, however she can only be transported via air flight because the drive via ambulance would have to be broken down into two days due to the distance. Flight transportation would only take 2 hours. Her current insurance will not cover any form of travel from one state to another. The transportation expense is an out of pocket expense. The flight service is a non-profit organization and is charging $7500 only to cover the fuel. The organization has volunteer medical personnel that will fly with Jaqoiya. She has medical devices that require around the clock care and supervision. She is in the healing process now and the best place for her to be is with family, where she will have all of the love and support she needs during her healing and recovery journey.
