Jan’s Ferocious Fight
Donation protected
Janice is a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. She means so much to so many people. She has sacrificed for so many over the years. She took care of our paraplegic father for 18 years, last year he passed away. Soon after his passing she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer.
In the year since her diagnosis she has fought long and hard. The doctors in Ann Arbor and at MidMichigan Health in Midland would like to talk hospice. She is not ready to accept defeat. She wants to fight. So, we did our research and found the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. This facility is one of the top Pancreatic Cancer Hospitals with cutting edge treatments and she was accepted as a patient.
Last month she ventured to Rochester for testing and meetings. During this visit she fell and fractured her right hip and under went surgery to repair the damage. This has resulted in her being off of her chemo for 4-6 weeks in order for all to heal properly. Once mended she will need to make the long trek back to finish her testing and likely begin treatment.
Our Goal with this Go Fund Me Campaign is to help pay for current medical debt, upcoming medical bills, travel back and forth to the Mayo Clinic as well as food and lodging.
We all want her around for many years to come. Our hope is to relieve some of the financial stress so she can focus solely on beating this cancer.
Thank you for taking the time to read her story.
