Jameson's "Make-A-Wish"

As many of you know, Jameson has been in a raging battle with the flu and pneumonia. What we know at this moment is that Jameson is fighting complications from the flu type B, pneumonia, and a staph infection. It has attacked his lungs and significantly impacted his ability to breathe. He is in somewhat stable, but critical condition on a ventilator in the ICU at UMASS in Worcester. He has been hospitalized for eight days now. The ventilator is not doing 100% of the work; it is supplementing what Jameson is able to do on his own. He is fighting with everything he has! Early attempts to wean him slightly from the ventilator have shown that he is not quite ready yet. He is comfortably sedated and listening to his favorite tunes in the background. Jameson takes little steps forward and little steps back with each passing hour. The main focus now is to keep Jameson comfortable and stable, not working too hard to breathe, monitoring his lungs with periodic x-rays, identifying any and all infections & treating them accordingly.
Many of you have asked how you can help or what you can donate. With this campaign we're imagining an almost “Make-A-Wish” type-scenario where Jameson can plan a family trip that he has to look forward to. Something to help take his mind off of all of the invasive medical treatments that he’s been dealing with. We’re also thinking of Jess and Oggie. For months they had a trip to Aruba planned that they were very much looking forward to, only to have to fly home after one day to be with Jameson. Of course they wouldn’t have changed a thing, but we want to help make up for some of what they missed on that trip. And finally, we're thinking of Olivia. The big sister who has been a rock-star through this entire ordeal. The same big sister who was up doing laundry at 11 p.m. on a school night to "help" her brother and her family.
