Jambos Gentlemans Ride, A ride for a breath of air

Jambo's Gentleman’s Ride. A ride for a breath of air.

For our great mate (occasional lover for some) James/Jambo/Boothy has had an overwhelming amount of people wanting to help out but for someone like our James he will never accept any kind of charity so we decided to set up a go fund me to support James, and his parents Kathy and David in yet another fight for a breath of air!

For those who aware of James’s journey it all started 11 years ago when James was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and required a heart and lung transplant, we all new this wouldn’t be an easy fix but would give us that extra few years with him. On the 26 October 2007 James was given the most precious gift of life a new set of lungs and a heart. “He wouldn’t live to the age of 18” became a trip around Europe, the tattoos that now cover his body and make James even more unique, to kicking it way past his 21st birthday to the fine ass age of 27!

As life has given James a few battles to fight he has kicked it right back in the most positive of ways so it is shit to say here we are again. James’s lungs are not giving him that second chance he deserves and he is back in St Vincent’s Hospital awaiting his second lung transplant. With extremely poor lung function James can not be at home without a supply of oxygen (a machine is around $4k, not including a portable machine for him to leave the house), the endless amount of medication and the help (yes James sometimes we all need a little help!) from his legend of parents Kathy And David.

The best way we can all help James is to dig deep, bring him home and await the call that it is his time again!

Unfortunately this isn’t a quick fix and the journey will not stop at the transplant, James lives out of zone from St Vincent’s and will have to stay in St Vincents Hospital, Sydney for 3 months post transplant. For Kathy and David we can all help with accomodation costs, out of work expenses and let them spend the time they need with James until he is able to come home again.

The costs of a transplant is never ending pre and post surgery, please help us by helping the Booth family by donating to this go fund me account, or by participating in the awareness of organ donation by attending the Jambo’s Gentleman’s Ride, a ride for a breath of air - dates to be advised.
