24th World Scout Jamboree 2019
Donation protected
HI, my name is Sean Robinson and recently me and 14 other people between the ages of 13-15 took part in an assessment day to see who could be selected for the 24th World Scout Jamboree. Unfortunately only 6 were selected, I was one of those lucky few This will provide a once in a lifetime opportunity for over 45,000 people from over 100 countries. We have been given the amazing chance to explore countless different cultures from different scout groups and we will even stay with a host country family for a number of days!
I wanted to start this GoFundMe to help out my family and the family and the family of my good friend (to my left Warren). The total cost of the trip is £3600 with £1000 being payed for by our district. That leaves us with £2600 left to pay each. Any money raised will be shared equally between the 2 of us. Any donation no matter how little will be of great help to all of us. You'll be helping us all achieve an adventure of a lifetime!
Here we have; Beth on the left, Warren next to her, then there's me, Matt on my right, Jamie on the end and last but not least Niamh on the floor!
We still have a ways to go in terms of how soon we need the money and alongside this we will be taking part in as many fundraising events as possible!
I've included some personal messages from us below :)
"Hi I'm Sean Robinson (as you know)
I want to give personal thanks to anyone who donates as it means a lot to me ever since I first heard about the Jamboree back when I was cub at 8 years old!"
"Hi I am Warren Thompson.
I am 15 years old and have been in scouting since I was 6 years old. To go to the jamboree would be a once in a lifetime experience and to go to one has been a dream of mine since I was very small."
